I have been using TES Construction Set to mod Oblivion on PC for many years. I have never converted a ‘.ess’ file to ‘.dat’ and transferred a PC save to Xbox 360, so I could really use a little advice.
My Xbox 360 gamer profile and Oblivion save are both on my USB flash drive.
I have renamed my PC save from ‘save_012.ess’ to ‘save_012.dat’ and attempted to Rehash and Resign and add it to the flash drive. I receive this error message ‘Invalid STFS Package!’
Can someone please walk me through this? I have read tutorial after tutorial, and they are all very useful and self-explanatory, but none of them have helped my with this error. I apologize for my inexperience in this field…
Thanks, Hawk! I had to install an older version of Modio (3.0) and it would not detect my flash drive… So, I just extracted the 360 save to my desktop using Horizon and opened it in Modio. Followed the instructions in the video, then closed Modio and replaced the save using Horizon. It took both programs, but was a success nonetheless! I discovered that none of my mods using unique editor ID’s would load in the 360 version of Oblivion so I will have to make some adjustments, but it works! Thanks again!
