As shown in release notes and in-game notification, savegames also not compatible with latest version, but I really like the option mentioned by developers to roll-back in steam to previous update, which should be compatible with current trainer and known cheat engine tables.

How to move back: enter properties of game in steam, go to beta and enter 2.0.1 fallback version - Steam will ā€œupdateā€ the game to previous version

be careful with unlimited units if you have a low end PC itā€™ll stress the game out and crash if you bring in too much.
