My horizon won’t read my USB because of this program that I cannot uninstall nor can I close it. It only opens when I insert the USB. I’ve tried different computers and USBs of different companies and this always opens up for some reason. I really need help because this program prevents me from modding my game saves.

the name of the program might help as the picture just shows horizon open with no memory card.
- check your using horizon as the administrator (otherwise it doesn’t pick up the memory card).
- check the drivers for that device are installed.
you could try to disable it from even starting from your startup manager then restart and find it on your program manager and remove it from there.
Sorry for the late reply[s]. “unremovable and unclosable program”? Sound like a virus! Install ccleaner and malwarebytes (or any other AV). malwarebytes scans, detects and removes malware. ccleaner is useful for removing programs and other miscellaneous files.

It’s not a virus, it’s a program that reads my usb drives so I can eject them safely, except they’re a part of windows 8 now as in I can’t uninstall it and that when I hover over it, it just gives me options, not the name of the program
I have done those steps many times. Still doesn’t want to work.
Just remove those programs. You can do it. At least disable them.
- Replace that programs exe with notepad
- Plug in usb
- Notepad opens

It didn’t work sadly, all I could find was things to disable my USB Drive.
Could you be more specific on how to do this? I’m not really into tech and stuff, but from my understanding the ‘program’ that is doing this is not a removeable program and I’ve tried to find its roots but cannot.
