I tried using the total war II trainer and as soon as I open the game it crashes. when I open the game without the trainer it works just fine but as soon as I start the trainer it crashes on me
Disable your AV/firewall, for the time being, and run the Trainer as an ADMIN/Administrator.
First launch the game, then open the INFINITY trainer (ALT+TAB), and after that switch back to the game, by clicking on the START button (with the game open in the background).
Do you get any ERROR message, when the game crashes ? Post a screenshot.
Use the official thread of the Trainer, for any further discussion, if need be. I posted a reply few days back over here, and @STN had requested a screenshot as well:
