Hi, I’m playing Total War: Warhammer III. Last night my campaign stopped allowing me to save the game. I had refreshed my Army after a siege and then went to go attack another faction. After, that, I saved again (or so I thought) and after a few other actions, I ALT-Tab’d out and the game froze. When I reloaded the game, that’s when I noticed my latest save wasn’t there. I tried many times to save the game after performing various actions, but the save silently never went through. I can save after switching to a different campaign (the only other one I have, the prologue, which I finished). I go to save in the latest campaign, type in a name, and all looks fine like it saved. No error messages and I can resume looking at the map. However, when I go to load, the save isn’t there. I can type a new name, click on an old name, or try to just accept the default name and it doesn’t save. I’ve tried rebooting and uninstalling the game and reinstalling, but that doesn’t seem to help. Any suggestions?
I loaded Warhammer III on another PC and the campaign there works fine. It’s just the PC with WeMod on it. I went back over to the original PC and deleted all saves from C:\Users<username>\AppData\Roaming\The Creative Assembly\Warhammer3\GDK\save_games. I restarted Warhammer III and it still shows my old saves and won’t let me save a new one on the campaign I want to save on. Does WeMod move the save data somewhere? Where else can I look to force a cloud download or to reset my game so it is like new? I already tried uninstalling and reinstalling and that didn’t work. Any thoughts?
PS: I’m using the MS Store/Game Pass version.
