[details=Overview]Play Your Way In the Biggest Battlefield Ever! From city streets to open rural landscapes, Battlefield 3 offers unparalleled depth and gameplay variety. Classic ‘Rush’ and ‘Conquest’ modes are complemented by newly introduced ‘Team Death Match’ for an instant action fix.

Frostbite 2 Enabled Destruction
Frostbite 2 creates a whole new level of life-like destruction. Enhanced large and small scale destruction now has a tactical purpose. Chip away at cover, blow holes in walls, deform the terrain, and bring down entire building facades on enemies.

Vehicle Warfare
The signature Battlefield vehicle warefare experience is even richer and more rewarding. Damaged vehicles can now retreat or be defended until they automatically regain armor, while disabled vehicles become static gun platforms to cover players doing repairs.

Dog Tags
Players can express their individuality with their own dog tag that gets displayed to defeated enemies. Players choose a design with a dynamically tracked in-game stat that expresses their personality and play-style.

Use the environment to your advantage. Deploy your machine gun bipods on any mountable surface for greater accuracy. Claim the dog tag of enemies via skillful knife takedowns. Lay down suppressive fire to limit the combat capabilities of enemies.

There is always a new rank or reward to unlock in Battlefield 3. The depth and vast range of unlockable weapsons, vehicles, upgrades, and tools will keep Battlefield 3 players occupied for years to come.

Campaign Chapters

Campaign Chapters

Semper Fidelis

[details=Open Me]Starting off in the campaign you play as Sergeant Blackburn, however throughout your story you play different roles such as Lieutenant Hawkins and a russian soldier called Dimitri “Dima” Mayakovsky, but for the most part it follows the story of Sergeant Blackburn.

For first mission, you start off on a train fighting off enemies and advancing quickly on a subway train. You have to maneuver around the train and fight against a small number of enemies. It is the tutorial of the game. Towards the end of the first mission you try to stop the train but get knocked down by the an man in civilian clothes, who you find out later to be Solomon.[/details]

Operation Swordbreaker

[details=Open Me]Then, It cuts into a scene when you are in an interrogation room a few hours before the events of the train. There are two Detectives who are really rude and have pretty much already labeled you as guilty for previous events you are about to explore on. They’re asking you all kinds of questions about the PLR and the Russians. And then you flash back to a mission where you are Sgt.Blackburn and you make your way up to rooftop where your being attacked by a sniper.

As you advance to the edge of the roof, you shoot an RPG at the building and blow it up killing the sniper. After that you provide some cover for troops advancing across the street below. You then work your way down to street level and fight a few waves of enemies before an hugh earthquake occurs and a building falls where you get knocked out by debris.[/details]

[details=Open Me]You start back in the interrogation room where they asked how long you were out and they want to know exactly how much time had passed down to the minute. Then you are back into the battlefield after the big earthquake. You start to sneak your way around the city until entering a building where you fight some enemies and hit them by surprise since they think most of the Americans had died after the earthquake.

After a while you find one of your squad members Montes and follow him to an extraction point because enemies are closing in around you. You have to hold out for the airplane where you get to escape and go back for some more interrogation.[/details]

Going Hunting

[details=Open Me]With this next mission you get to play as a fighter pilot. You start off back in the interrogation room trying to figure out what the main story is about, the PLR and the Russians because at this point your are trying to piece together bits of information on the events that they allow you to explore. In this mission you’re playing as Lieutenant Jennifer “Colby” Hawkins and you’re on a naval Aircraft Carrier.

You get into the second seat on an F-18 Fighter controlling the weapons on the Fighter Jet. You have to defend against other Fighters while deploying Flares to fend off oncoming missiles. Then you fly over an enemy airport and mark Targets for MIGs to fly over and bomb enemy air plane; also a group of PLR People that are meeting out in the open. This mission was not too difficult and it was a lot of fun where they showed off the amazing graphics engine that they used for the game. Then after you complete the mission and land you go back into the Interrogation room once again.[/details]

Operation Guillotine

[details=Open Me]The detectives are getting more and more anxious now because the story is playing out and it seems like they aren’t getting any useful information out of you. After a few arguments they ask you how you found the nuke in Iran and you then cut to your next mission. You start an assault against the PLR and fight off a large number of enemies as you make your way to a bank. There is supposedly heavy intel in the bank and that is why your squad is advancing on the building. On your way to the bank you get to try out some new weapons like a mortar and a RPG as well which is used to take out enemy tanks.

After you make your way into the bank and the bank vault, you find that there are WMDs and that there are two missing. However, you are pinned down because there are enormous amounts of enemies closing in and you can’t push with your smaller force. You then cut back out into the interrogation room.

[details=Open Me]On the next mission you play as Dimitri “Dima” Mayakovsky and you’re a Russian inside a SUV driving through France. You then bust into a PLR facility in search of the nuclear weapons. The Americans and the Russians are fighting each other both in search of nukes. You battle your way through the street against terrorists and police officers in pursuit of the bomb carrier. You must capture the bomb carrier alive before he detonates the Nuke.

At the end you capture him near a train and find out that he was just a decoy and didn’t have the bomb at all. Moments later the bomb explodes and you are knocked out. That mission kind of gives you a look into the other side of the battle where the Russians are trying to secure the nuclear weapons.[/details]

Thunder Run and Fear No Evil

[details=Open Me]Your next mission you’re playing as staff sergeant Jonathan “Jono” Miller and you are inside of a tank looking at a dinosaur toy that he has for his kid’s birthday. Your partner inside the tank assures you that you will be home for your son’s birthday. You then have to fight off enemy tanks and advance through the city. At one point you run into heavy resistance and have to get out of the tank and talk to a frantic soldier that has set up some explosives down the road where the opposing force are.

However, he is to afraid to go out into heavy fire to get to the detonator. So you have to go and get the detonator then run back and blow up the enemies. You then advance along the highway towards the city destroying suicide bombers in cars along the way.

After advancing into the city, your tank eventually blows up and you get captured by the PLR. The PLR executes you on camera and Broadcasts it on the internet as a Fear tactic and then right after you’re through it cuts you back to the Interrogation room once again.[/details]

Night Shift

[details=Open Me]You start off back into the interrogation room where you asked a bunch of questions about the Russians and then you start off where you left off as Sgt. Blackburn. You go into this mission where you’re trying to find Al-Bashir and the room where Sergeant Jonathan Miller was executed. In this mission you are extensively using the sniper weapon and you make use of the thermal imaging on the sniper scope.

I took advantage of that fact and used it during the street scenes as well. It is pretty dark so the thermal imaging comes in handy. After fighting a few enemies you eventually find the room where Sergeant Miller was killed and then find Al-Bashir trying to escape. You shoot at his car and it crashes into a near by street. Then, you secure him and try to keep him alive while being attacked by waves of Russian soldiers trying to get to Al-Bashir as well. Just before Al-Bashir dies he realizes that Solomon the leader of the PLR had betrayed him so he reveals Solomon’s plan to Sergeant Blackburn.[/details]

Rock and A Hard Place

[details=Open Me]Your next mission starts off in northern Iran where you are Sergeant Blackburn advancing towards your newest target Kaffarov who works with Solomon. As you make your way there you get ambushed by Russians who are also in pursuit of Kaffarov. This seems very daunting to you because you see a bunch of Russian soldiers deploying from parachutes. But Cole (your commanding officer) says you still have a job to do so you have to advance on the enemy. As you make your way around the terrain and enemies you come across a fighter pilot that has your squad on lock.

You have to navigate through buses and cars in order to survive the fly arounds. There is a missile launcher called the “Stinger” that will help you take down the fighter jet however, after doing so you find that two of your team members get killed. This is where the detectives use their sentimental card by asking you wouldn’t you feel mad at your commanding officer since he is potentially the reason your squad members are dead. You start to uncover why the detectives feel that they know you are already guilty but you don’t know why just yet.[/details]

[details=Open Me]As you start in the interrogation room, you go into a mission as Dimitri again, attacking Kaffarov’s house for information about the nukes. You advance into the house and kill a bunch of enemies pursuing Kaffarov. After killing more enemies you make your way to the roof where you find Kaffarov escaping in a helicopter. You then have to jump on the helicopter to stop him. You jump onto it before it takes off and fight him out of the helicopter and jump down into a pool. He then tells you that Solomon has the nukes and he will give you information if you let him live you. However, he dies and it cut scenes back to the interrogation room.

After the Russian’s point of view, you end up seeing Sergeant Blackburn’s side of what happened after the Russians arrived. This mission is fairly quick as you make your way around the villa. As you travel to the pool where Dima and Kaffarov were in a previous missions you finally see where Dimitri and Sergeant Blackburn meet for the first time. It all starts to make sense after this point as you find out thats why the detectives were wondering why Blackburn chose to help the Russians instead of betraying his country. He is told by Dima that there are two nukes in Solomon’s possession and that Solomon intends to use them on Paris and New York. He wants to make pact with you and go after Solomon without the annoyance of the government and politics. However, Cole starts to enter the building so cuts the conversation short and Dimitri tells you to shoot him in order to let him go so that millions of lives can be saved. You must shoot Cole. You then let Dimitri go in order to try to stop the Nuke in Paris. Even though you know already that Dimitri fails, this is the scene that links him to the first Nuke explosion.[/details]

The Great Destroyer

[details=Open Me]You then cut scene back to the interrogation and where they ask you repeatedly why would you shot Cole. They make a claim that you were played by the Russians and that there is no real evidence that Dimitri was trying to help the Americans. They bring in Montes and as the detectives leave the room, one of them gets a call where you overhear that they lost a train.

Blackburn sort of has an epiphany at that point where he figures out that Solomon is probably the one that hijacked the train and you ask Montes to follow your lead. You end up knocking out one of the detectives and killing a guard in order to escape from a window and jump onto the train. And then you start off like in the very first mission. However, now you find out what happens after Soloman points the gun at you during the first mission. Here you knock away Solomon’s gun and blow up smaller bomb on the train.

Solomon has the WMD still in his possession so you pursue him into the sewers and onto the street. Montes finds you miraculously with a Police Car and tells you to get in. You then shoot at Solomon’s car and make him crash by running into him. You both end up crashing in Times Square, New York where you and Montes are pinned down while Solomon grabs a gun. He shoots Montes and you then fight him off because he’s out of bullets.

You are made to press a number of buttons to attack Solomon and then stop the WMD from going off in New York. It ends the game with the Dimitri who helped you escape and he talks about how you only die once and how you should make it worth it. He talks about how he and Blackburn had to make tough choices in order for people to survive. It fades to black as you hear his house getting raided. So in the end you save thousands of lives in New York and prevent war between America and Russia even though you had to break every traditional rule and kill some people that were on your side in order to stop the main threat, Solomon.[/details]

[details=Classes]Assault - The Assault class carries a primary weapon consisting of an assault rifle — like the M4 and AK-47 — and is now merged with the medic class — the Assault class can now heal and revive teammates. It can also function as a more offensive class with ability to swap out the revive kit for a grenade launcher.

Recon - The Recon class carries a sniper rifle for long range engagement, but for Battlefield 3, the Recon class has a more active role as well. The Recon also has the ability to call in artillery strikes (expected unlock). Furthermore, the Recon can equip C4 explosives to blow up enemy vehicles or map objectives.

Support - The Support class returns to its role it had in Battlefield 2, with its main purpose to provide heavy fire from a Light Machine Gun (like an M249 SAW), and resupply teammates with ammunition. In Battlefield 3, the Support class is broadened with the ability top use lighter weapons and assault rifles like the M4, with several attachments, including a powerful flashlight which has the ability to blind enemies in dark places.

Engineer - The Engineer class in Battlefield 3 is very similar to the class in Bad Company 2: its primary role is to engage tanks and armored vehicles with an array of rocket launchers such as the RPG-7 and the AT4, or use anti tank mines. The primary weapon is a carbine rifle, with a variety of unlocks available, ranging from shotguns to sub machine guns. [/details]

Information gathered from various sites including the Battlefield 3 Wiki.

Nice! I’m going to go re-buy Battlefield 3 for Christmas, I had it for about a week, and my brother broke it >.< all this information should help me when I start to play again.

This makes me think its a C&P since its already been out…

You should add the XboxMB Platoon

I thought I had seen one like this somewhere on the site too…

I meant a section describing it in the post not the actual pack. Fixed that in the OP

Added Platoon.

Thanks for this, getting BF3 in the next few days.

I Applied

Great this is awesome well done!

I think it needs more pictures. Here are my suggestion to add;
-Top view “mini-map” of multiplayer maps (larger)
-Side view of guns, then what they look like in-game
-Side view of accessories, then what they look like in-game
-Way more pictures for everything
-Any “secrets”, “tips”, or “easter eggs” you find

Also, if you have the time, make a gun stat chart or find one and put it in.

Keep up the good work.

Thank you, I am away til Tuesday but I will get straight to this!

In the Gears 3 section

Haha exactly.
