Unable to configure my usb

My usb won’t configure on my xbox and it says i need to have xbox gold to do that.
Is their any other way to configure it?

You do not need Xbox Live Gold to configure a usb drive for Xbox storage, nor have you ever needed it in the past to do so.

I recommend that you try a a fresh format of your usb drive on your PC, and then try to configure it again on your 360.

If you still have issues post back and we’ll see what we can do.

We will help if we can. That’s what we do.

What do you mean by fresh format? Deleting everything on my USB if so i have already done that.

This was when i selected it:

Your USB is formatted for Xbox 360. You don’t need Gold to do that

Oh it is? I never had to press the configuration button. When i put my usb in my computer horizon doesn’t detect it. 0 device loaded
Is my flash drive unable to sync with horizon?

It should recognize. Try running Horizon as Administrator.

Nope. The USB has never been configured and it doesn’t have a configure option.

its not Fat 32 format then. an xbox can only reconise devices with a Fat 32 format.

my USB is formatted on Fat 32. I can store files in it on my xbox but I never had an option to configure or customize

It’s configured properly if your able to put files on it on your Xbox, and your photos show us that it is configured.

Have you tried running Horizon as Administrator yet? If not, right click on the shortcut icon and select run as administrator. You should also try other USB ports on your PC as well.

Thanks for your help, I need to do a full format it was on a quick format.
Also thanks for all the other people who have help.

Glad you got it working. Closed.
