Wemod can't find a game, and when I tried to fix it, it said said that the file wasn't an EXE file

I was trying to cheat in Esports Life Tycoon, and it couldn’t find it, so I tried to fix it, and it said it wasn’t an EXE file.

You can find the exes for Steam games in:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\GameNameHere

The icon with the name of the game and a file type labelled “Application” would be the .exe.

Click and drag that item labelled as an Application to WeMod’s “Fix” panel.

The shortcut icon on your desktop to launch the game is not the exe, it’s just the launcher, if that’s what you’re trying to use in WeMod.

Edit for future users:
For Epic Games, see this post: Wemod can't find a game, and when I tried to fix it, it said said that the file wasn't an EXE file

then how do i find the EXE if the game is through epic games

By default, Epic Games stores the games here: C:\Program Files\Epic Games\GAMENAME. The .exe should be right under the game folder. For example, for Metro Exodus, the .exe is here: C:\Program Files\Epic Games\MetroExodus\MetroExodus.exe.

Hope this helps you out :slight_smile:

@User_N4m3 is correct.

If, for some reason, you can’t find the .exe still:

  1. Launch the game. Wait until you’re on the main menu.
  2. Launch Task Manager.
  3. Locate the game’s process. Right-click it.
  4. Click Open File Location. The highlighted file is the .exe.
