I wish the levels were higher on this game, it didn’t take long to get to level 20.

This is my character as she stands so far. After not having been able to play the game until Thursday night. Not to shabby:
Gotten level 19 last night hopeing to be level 20 with in the next few hours
So haven’t started playing yet, but from what I understand reaching level 20 doesn’t seem all that hard. Is that the cap? If so, will Bungie be raising it at all? Also, seeing as I should be getting it tomorrow (it’s with the courier on the way to my house) is there any tips anyone can give me?
Like absolutely everything in this game, it has to do with “light.” In this case, Light is a new stat that you’ll find attached to your four swappable pieces of armor. The more light an item has, the closer it will push you to level 21, 22 and so on. I think you need 20 Light to hit 21, and rare gear starts off only giving you three or four each. Legendary gear available for sale will be giving you 18 or 19 Light each, so it clearly ramps up over time. Source
Level 20 is the “soft cap” then after level 20 you level up by getting armor that has light on it. The more light you have the faster you level up. I’m currently level 25, but I’m really close to 26.

Make sure you upgrade your gear, it gives extra light.
done that, any tips on how to get more gear?

best farming for you? ive tried old russia chest method but not really helping me haha
I play (along with two other friends) the strike mission on Venus called “The Nexus”, we play on the level 24 strike playlist. We keep backing out until we get that mission. Then once we do get it, we run up to the point where you fight the group of goblins right before the Nexus boss. We kill all of them, jump off the cliff, rinse and repeat.
TBH that doesnt even work. You’re online all day doing that and who knows what else and I am still a higher level than you, haha.

Anyways…Farm for chest at Mars. I know my friend got some legendary engrams, and blueprints from them.
Doesn’t work huh? That’s why I get atleast 1 to 2 legendary engrams and multiple rare engrams per farming session. Stop being butt hurt that we didn’t invite you when we completed the level 26 weekly. I’m kind of glad that I didn’t now knowing this is how you act. You get angry way too easily, but hey say whatever you want your opinions don’t matter to me.

Can anyone confirm the level cap? I thought it was 26 but my friends were playing with a 27 earlier
I think it’s 30, but I’m not entirely sure.
