Windows Defender is saying wemod contains a trojan

Wemod mysteriously disappeared from my PC. it seems to be installed but I cannot open it. and the desktop icon is gone.

I tried to download the Wemod setup .exe but it failed. Saying it contained a virus.
I went to check on what windows defender had found and it had found “Trojan:Win32/Ludicrouz.P”

I’m not sure if this is a false positive or whatever. Because I have checked out other Topics on here where you said that there are false positives where different antiviruses said Wemod contained different Trojans and whatnot.

and from what I have found, Ludicrouz.P/or different letter at the end.
is considered dangerous by many security experts.

This is a false positive.

Please see this recent thread here for further information and discussion, which has had responses from our community manager as well as WeMod’s lead developer: Windows Defender now has WeMod marked as a trojan.
