Wired controller problems

Ok, so i have a wired controller but it never wants to turn on. I put it in the XBOX and push it really hard, but it still doesn’t turn on. And when i do get it turned on (by just mistreating it, like punching it and dropping it), it only stays on for 2 seconds. And when i do get it on for a minute, the moment i put it down it turns off. It’s frustrating when i’m trying to play Minecraft. Also my mic won’t go in there. Help me please. I will be posting pictures in the comments in abit.

Unless you are experienced with electronics and have the right tools, junk the controller.

First step to repair this would be taking it apart and looking for anything damaged. If you don’t find anything, put it back together and see if it works.

And about the mic port, is this a recent issue or was it like that when you bought it? Xbox 360 controllers usually use a 2.5 mm jack in opposed to the regular 3.5 mm jack most electronics use these days.

ever think pushing or dropping the controller cause this to happen lol look i had this happen to my old xbox 360 controller maybe its your batteries holder when i had my xbox 360 controller the back of it kept poping off were the batteries were not connecting try this put tape around the batteries holder make sure you have batteries in it then comment back tell me if it worked or not ok?

I’m about to post some pictures, so if you can see any problems just point them out to me.

Also, it started acting up 2 days after i got it. I didn’t abuse it before that, and i got that controller a year ago and just learned that “beat up” skill.

So, tell me if you notice any problems!

Anyway, those picture are not usefull in any way. You will have to take it apart and look for errors.

Do you have a soldering iron? You are probably going to need one of those.

Well, i’m not really an expert on electronics. Also, you spelled useful wrong. Or i’m just in one country and your in another. Anyways, i don’t think i can fix it since i’m not some sort of technology expert. Also, no i do not have a soldering iron. I’ll just by a new one, or figure out how to fix my wireless one.

You don’t need to be an expert, just have the right tools and experience. It could be like Sykotik said and be a broken soldering joint. Then you would just need to heat up the solder (not too long tho, heat causes damage) and attach the wire ( or whatever that needs contact). But sometimes its something more complicated like a IC chip being damaged.

Depends, do you live in sweden?

Well, i don’t have the tools or experience.

No, i live in America.

im not saying the back is cracked dude mine was not cracked to but for some reason if i holder it in a way it would disconnect cause the back was lose

I just bought a new controller.
