Xbox 360 CHECKERED SCREEN FREEZE HELP!

I haven’t touched my xbox 360 for about 8 months now and just recently set it up again. When i was done connecting the HDMI and the Power Supply i turned it on it was fine for a few seconds then it suddenly froze and got covered the screen with a checkered layer (black & white) and made weird sounds when it happened. I have no idea on what to do now please help me.

P.S I opened the sides of my xbox to clean the dust and also opened the back pane where the slots are for the cables.

Microsoft site said that disconnecting the harddrive before turning on console might work. Just remove the right side vent and pull the little fabric tab out. You could also try connecting your console to a monitor using the Xbox 360 Component HD AV Cable that came with the console.

If it’s an overheating issue, disassemble the console, spray some compressed air to remove dust and clean the plastic parts.

If your console still freezes after doing these things, send it for repair or buy a new xbox 360 (if you still want one).
