Ok, so i do all the steps right but when it goes to when i change the map’s storage device, it says “Can’t transfer between profiles.” Can somebody help?
Why did you link that?
You have probably forgotten to swap the ids. You need to assign the save to the profile you want to use it for.
Put one of your own saves on to your flash drive. Open it in Horizon. Drag the downloaded map into Horizon. Copy and paste the profile ID from your save over to the profile ID of the downloaded map. Use the Save, Rehash & Resign option on the downloaded map. Then save it to your device(flash drive.) Now you can move it back to your 360’s hard drive or just load it from the flash drive.
Well, the question is how do i do the profile ID thing?
Also, how do i do profile images?
Sorry, i’m a newbie.
NVM, figured out about the profile images.
Hello?
Hi. You made it sound like you figured it out. What do you need help with?
Well, what do you mean by copy and pasting profile ID’s? I know how to figure out my profile ID, but how do i use it for me downloading my map to work and for it to stop saying “Cannot transfer between profiles?”
Also, here is the link to the map (video with the map, i know how to do it) i am trying to download, but once i put it back on the Xbox 360 it says the message: [Gravity Falls Map] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GJfXNYXj9Y0
I just downloaded it and changed the profile ID and loaded it up on our 360 so it is good.
Try doing it this way:
- With Horizon open drag the MC map in.
- Now open 1 of your own saves that belongs to the profile you want to play it on.
- Position them side by side in Horizon.
- Delete the profile ID on the downloaded MC map so it shows as Null
- Now copy the profile ID from your save(you can see I have it highlighted in blue in the pic below).
- After copying it, hover over the empty Null profile ID of the downloaded map, right click and choose paste.
- Now it will have the same profile ID as your other save.
- Now use the red Save, Rehash & Resign button on the downloaded map.
- Now use the Save to Device option in the upper right corner of the downloaded map.
- Now it’s signed to your profile & on your device(USB drive).
- Now you should have no problems moving it back to your 360’s hard drive or loading it from the USB drive. Make sure you’re signed into the same profile on your 360.
Ok, thank you so much! I’ll try it right now and see if it works!
It worked! I’m so glad that it did. Thank you for helping.
Great to hear!
That method always seems to work. Do that for any map you download in the future and you should have no issues.
Also, i’m planning on adding extra stuff for this. When i’m finished, you can play it if you want. Basically everything i build is crap unless it’s from a tutorial online, and that’s exactly what i’m gonna do.
Also quick question, will i get banned downloading maps? I mean, i know XBOX 360 doesn’t like it but downloading maps seems completely fine. I’m planning on downloading another one, and is just making sure.
I’ve probably downloaded close to a 1000 for my son over the past 2+ years lol. Never had any issues and never heard of anyone getting in any trouble for it. They’re just user created maps. Don’t worry about it. Get them cool maps and play them. Have fun!
No, downloading saves is safe. Only time it could cause a ban is if it would be used online but, even then, it would be extremely unlikely.
how do i down loud things im a newbie
