For the month of April, Xbox Live Gold members will receive four new free games – two on Xbox One and two on Xbox 360 – as part of the Games with Gold program. You can play both Xbox 360 titles on your Xbox One with Backward Compatibility.
On Xbox One, Xbox Live Gold members can download Ryse: Son of Rome ($19.99) for free during the month of April. The Walking Dead: Season 2 will be available as a free download from April 16th to May 15th.
On Xbox 360, starting Saturday, April 1st, Darksiders ($19.99) will be free for Xbox Live Gold members through April 15th. Then on April 16th, Xbox Live Gold Members can download Assassin’s Creed Revelations ($19.99) for free through April 30th.
Ryse and TWD Season 2 aren’t really all that old. But yeah, $84 to buy them is something I wouldn’t do. It’s $5 a month if you buy a year of Gold at $60 so you could look at it like you’re paying $1 per game and $1 for the month of Gold which isn’t bad at all.
yes, but paying for online is expensive and stupid in the first place.
the games usually arent worth the cost. and u don’t exactly get to choose from any game u want (which would make it better, but still bad) paying for online is just milking consumers.
It depends how you look at it. I always find a year of Gold for $40 or less online. It’s not for me but for my 10 year old son, and he enjoys most of the games we get for free.
hmm, i see. ^^ well, i guess consoles is a good way to get into gaming.
i kinda started on pc, then went to console and then back to pc ^^
i noticed tho these past years that i have a higher standard than before, maybe i became partly a snob when it comes to gaming. i sold my xbox 360 coz it was gathering dust, and i dont think ill ever get a console again, but i did enjoy my time with all the various ones ive had over the years.
but one thing i dont like is that microsoft and sony have been so anti-consumer lately. it makes me not want to get a console even if they bump up the hardware to a point i can tolerate. but i guess that kinda stuff doesnt matter if ur 10 years old
its a good place to start, but please teach him about pc gaming when he asks for a new console with better graphics ^^
a small form factor pc next to the tv with wireless mouse, keyboard and controllers would be a good way to do that.
