Microsoft pinned monthly dates to its Games With Gold promotion, with the Xbox Live Gold freebies due on the 1st of 16th of each month. As revealed during Microsoft’s E3 press conference, Gold subscribers gain access to two free Xbox 360 games each month until the end of the year. Fable 3 was the first offering, with Halo 3 and Assassin’s Creed 2 already announced as July’s dynamic duo.“As our way of saying thanks for being part of this community, we’re giving all qualifying Gold members two free Xbox 360 games each month for the rest of the year.” reads the promotion’s site. “Each specially selected, fan-favorite game will be available to download only for a limited time, so grab them before they’re gone and keep them no matter what.”
I’m too excited to get Halo3, but it does suck that I won’t have any of the DLC which is required to play in about every playlist…I may just have to say forget the free promotion and go to GameStop and get the Mythic Disc of Halo3.
(I used to own all the H3 DLC, but after all the Halo3 50’s I made/sold I no longer have an account with the DLC listed)
Overall, it’s nice of Microsoft to do this kind of promotion because I’m sure there are going to be games I’ve wanted in the past but didn’t want/have the funds to fork over and purchase and so I can just get for free.
