hi guys i got a xbox one and 3 month gold but everytime i try to buy any xbox 360 game like the free ones like saints row 4/dead space it says Sorry

Maybe a parental controll is set blocking you from making purchases even if the game is free.
no i changed all settings to allow even restarted the xbox one

Maybe there’s an update you need for the backwards compatibility. I don’t know, just a thought.
I think you have to order the 360 games (even the free ones) off a 360. If its a free game it is then added to your gamer tag associated xbox one for digital download automatically. I seem to recall being able to order xbox one games off the 360 for download under gold, but that memory is fuzzy and I might be mistaken. Its been a while since I did that.
This happened to me, I think, if it’s the same issue all you have to do is add a payment option then download it, then you can just remove the payment option using https://billing.microsoft.com
i dont have any credit cards tho also steve i could download xbox one games just not the 360 ones
Then use your parents. Unless they don’t trust you and/or the internet. Maybe a pre-paid card would work.
i have a old visa card it works but till says same message when i try to buy the games
Is there money on the card? Empty credit cards are usually declined one way or another…
I still have my xbox 360 so let me know if you want me to try downloading SR: IV through your account (you should then be able to access the game from the download history after that). Trusting shady strangers with login credentials should be safe, right? I can’t imagine how something like that could possibly go wrong…
lol no the credit card doesn’t have money on it i would trust u with my account but already been hacked before took all day to get that account back
You could always add some money to the card i guesso or you could get another credit card you could use or buy a Visa Gift card of some sort to use .
i dont know i still think its wrong i have to do all this just to get a game i paid for 30 bucks im pretty much SOL cause my parents wont let me use there card only cause its the only one they own
