Hi there, first time poster here, I’m hoping someone here will know if there’s a way to do this…
basically, what I’m wanting to do is transfer my xbox save to PC, use graphical and character mesh mods (skin, more ‘skimpy’ outfits, and hair) for as much of the game as possible, and then transfer it back to the xbox and SAFELY have any achievements I may have ‘reached’ gotten on the 360
the reasoning is because the 360 version constantly freezes up and I’m sick of playing like 2 hours of running around the map exploring and then it freezing because it’s a broken game and losing all my progress…I love skyrim but it’s just ridiculous at this point and a downer to play…there isn’t enough games with gender options and the level of character customization ES games have (already done Saints Row 1-4, Fable 2/3, KOA, DA1/2, FO3/NV)
but if I change back things to IDENTICALLY how they were character wise (aside from levels/weapons/etc I’ve gained during the time on the pc) is there a way to still get the achievements once popping back into the 360 version without getting banned?
any and all help would be ever so appreciated I don’t think its fair not to gain achievements when I simply want to be able to actually play the damn game, and I’m a completionist so it’s kinda OCD for me >.>
You have lost your progress (stats?) in Skyrim because the game keeps freezing. You want to move your gamesave over to pc and mod your stats exactly how they were before the game froze up.
No worries. You can continue playing Skyrim and unlock achievements in the right order with your modded gamesave. Keep in mind if an achievement is “Reach level 20” and you mod your character above level 20 it will most likely unlock once you launch Skyrim.

no, haven’t lost any progress, have about half the achievements unlocked but due to game stability issues on console I wish to move to PC and complete the game before moving back to the 360 and still get the achievements that I would have gotten if I had played the rest of the game on xbox from the progress achieved on PC.
Unfortunately that is not how it works. If you move a pc version of the game on steam for example, steam has its own set of achievements for that game. And once you move back to xbox, the achievements dont unlock.
If you move your gamesave over to pc you will screw up “Skryim’s achievement order” in Steam. Like unlocking achievements you would unlock later in the game first, depends if you have played Skyrim on pc before or not.
The same will happen when you move the gamesave from pc over to xbox after you’ve completed the game and continuing playing Skyrim on xbox and unlocking more achievements.
so by doing things that usually unlock achievements on a NON-steam version (ie complete the game and dlc) I can’t transfer the save back to xbox when I’m done and get the achievements on xbox ‘instantly’ after booting up? or is there a way?
If you transfer your save to the PC and then plan on transferring it back, then don’t use any of the custom mods.
Doing so will create a lot of fluff in your save and may have your save become corrupted after transferring it back due to the Xbox 360 not being to load the custom content (since it is not on your 360).
Most of the achievements in Skyrim are based on a specific event, so if you became the leader of the Thieves Guild on PC and then convert your save back, then don’t expect to get that achievement on the Xbox 360.
