This about sums it up:
Basically, a modder messed up my message of the day online in Call of Duty to be his gamertag and twitter handle in rainbow colors and everything. I fixed it by extracting the game’s GPD and opening it with HxD Editor. I injected the GPD back onto my profile, loaded it back up, and it was fixed. However, I noticed that the single player was saying that I only completed the first 2 missions of the game, despite having beat the game on Veteran. I tried just using a 100% save I downloaded (switched Profile ID and all that) but the game still said the same thing.
So now I tried to just play the game again legit to see if that would fix the progression not being right, and the missions unlocked normally, however, THE ACHIEVEMENTS ARE UNLOCKING TWICE!! I have never seen this before. I have all the achievements for this game unlocked legit, but they are now unlocking again as I play through the game.
I deleted my profile and recovered my gamertag, which now allows me to play through normally without achievements unlocking twice (it no longer says 39/37 don’t worry), but now the MOTD is back to what the modder put.
I used HxD editor to fix the MOTD. It seems like if I fix that, the single player and does not work and achievements unlock twice, but if I leave it screwed up, that achievements don’t unlock twice and single player progresses normally.
Any modding veterans on here that know what I should do?
