SINGLE-PLAYER ANTI CHEAT? IN A GAME WITH DEAD SERVERS? Cmon devs, stop forcing anti cheats on games that arent even online anymore. In that case. can you figure out what values are checked against cheat usage?
I used it on the Predator and Alien campaigns. Works fine, no crashes, I would recommend verifying the files if experiencing frequent crashes. A corrupted file could be causing these.
Unfortunately I am unable to find any values. Iām not even sure what anti cheat weāre dealing with here, Iām certain that this anti cheat isnāt kernel level. However, I can only say that there is no risk of a ban, itās only a forced crash. It might not even be an anti cheat, could just be the code failing under modern cheats. After all this game is 14 years old at this point. I could only find one link (of which I cannot find anymore) to a discussion (not a steam discussion) even talking about any anti cheat in the game.
Yeah, really stupid that theyād put anti cheat in for singleplayer. At least they couldāve done what Rockstar did and ban those who use cheats in multiplayer and yet singleplayer works fine no issues.
Unfortunate that you guys have decided to not update this, but I get it. Iām sure you already figured this out, but it seems to delete 2 files when it forces the crash. If thatās already known, apologies.

Iām unsure whatās in the files. However I do know that every time the game crashes I have to āverify integrity of game filesā and each time it says ātwo files missingā and it redownloads them. Otherwise itāll continue crashing every time even without wemod going. I can dig and see, but I am unsure what exactly Iām looking for.
Try taking a screenshot of most of the game files, then get the game to crash. You can use the screenshots to make a before and after comparison to find any missing files.

Apologies, I canāt seem to see a difference. Either Iām just blind or Iām not digging deep enough.
If thereās no difference then itās likely just some corrupted files. Not really surprised though, when using trainers and mods on games, some files do tend to corrupt.
Although, I verified the files on my installation and, turns out, 2 files failed to verify. The interesting thing is the fact that I was playing the game completely fine with no crashes.
I am unsure how to fix this issue.
Maybe it could be a difference in hardware? Some games from the early 2000s-2010s have issues when facing modern hardware, just take a look at Prototype 1.
