Baldur's Gate 3 Cheats and Trainer for Steam

Wow, would you look at that, I just tried it again on my unmodded playthrough, and it DIDN’T work again. Would you like me to post pictures of my bone stock character?

well I don’t know what you are doing wrong compared to when I get it to work, so I can’t help then.

Let’s try this then. Our order of operations should be as follows: Launch game, open save, launch wemod, select character other than the one to modify, then select the correct character. Save. Adjust stat, then save again. Reload to see the results, yes?

Yup that’s what I do, like I told Honorablepilot 15 days ago:
Pick character to modify
switch to another,
switch back,
save,
set values (note in mine they build off 8, so to have a 16 you set it to 8)
save,
reload
and that was it

Therefore it’s the trainer, and not user error.

If it works for me, and others, but not for you, then I would say yes it’s user error. But you keep blaming the trainer if it makes you feel better.

…been trying your stat method since aug. it has’nt worked once & there’s been mutiple patches lol. Edit: Whelp tried again & it finally worked

I am not confident enough in myself to say it isn’t user error, but I have had the last selected character stats not work for me. Instead I just edit all playable characters stats-- it isn’t exactly what I want, but it works 100% of the time.

NOPE. That is why you are failing. Why the hell would you save BEFORE adjusting the stats setting? Did you not read the instructions? I’ve stated it here plainly several times. You have to select a random, adjust the stats cheats you want, select the one to mod their stats, THEN save/reload. Also, F.Y.I., make sure the stats cheats setting are all at 0 before you try it, or it will not work. You can turn them off, select the random, then turn them back on, but you have to have the random selected before you turn on the stats cheats.

EX: I free the brain from the elf at the start, and as it is considered a summon, I still switch to it, adjust the stats, select my character, save/reload, and all my stats are as I just set them. I have tried it with every other party member as I aquired them, and it has worked perfectly, 100% of the time. That is why I, as others here have said, see it as user error. I have tried to make it NOT work, and it adjusts perfectly still. It’s all but foolproof, as long as you follow the directions. Your order is way off, so again, it is user error.

Oh, I know. That’s what I was trying to get at. If there was a way to stop that through the trainer, since there is a cheat to add XP. I was trying to figure it out, so I could stop all the others from leveling, but found out that it was programed that way, so not going to be possible. Oh well, I can always just ignore the blinking arrows to level up…maybe. usually It just stays that way, until I get enough, and level them. Hmm, maybe I should try looking into a way to shut off the level up notification. That might work better lol.

weird bit I tried what you described fer months, dinnae work, tried saving BEFORE I edited & it worked.

I always save before to make a recovery point, just in case I set a value wrong (sometimes I forget that it builds off the base value, not the overall value).

Hmm…seems weird. I only mod my MC’s stats as a norm, but I have tested it on the Origins just to see, and it worked 100% of the time. I just usually let the normal stats go on them though, as I also use (a now deleted mod) that adds flight 93ft. to a cape, plus also adds +4 to every stats and skill (EX: Arcana, History, Strength, Intelligence, ect.). I have done this since this trainer first came out, and it has always just worked for me. I admit, I did have some issues with the first set of stat mods, but the second one is so easy and as I said, works 100% of the time for me. I use the stats cheats when I free the brain from the elf’s body, so I can switch to him. These stat cheats also work with summoned things, as long as you can select them. I have used the spider egg, threw it, got three spider followers, clicked on one of them, set the stats to my desired settings, switched to my MC, then save/reload, and it worked. Not sure what else to say, as I have not had any issues with the second set.

App is saying that the trainer still need testing with the latest update. So far, everything I’ve seen is still working as intended. Granted, my XP has been maxed for a bit, so I didn’t test that part, but the rest if food to go.

I just started a new game, and tested the trainer, playing until I reached the beach, and everything worked as before. I even accidently maxed out Lae’zel’s stats, so I can state that the stats cheats work 100% as well lol.

The roll dice always succeed cheat doesn’t apply to attack rolls it seems, can still miss attacks

I don’t know how people are making the stat work. First of all it does work but not as intended. I created a custom character i am at beach i change to shadowheart then my char edit stats then save then load. Nope doesn’t work. But this works for shadowheart apparently it’s bugging out with the custom character i created or something

I haven’t seen it work that way before, not sure its intended to work that way, just checks like opening locks, ability checks in conversations, but not combat.

Since the last couple updates i have noticed that “Items Don’t Decrease” aren’t working when splitting stacks. The stacks are still splitting and decreasing, unlike before.

There’s an issue with the encumber cheat, it slows down the movement of everyone once you turn it on even if you’re not encumbered.
