BF4 mods not working

Can’t tell if it should be via EA or PC, and if PC which executable for bf4 should be mapped to it?

Either way, none of it works since forced update to v9

Hi! Welcome to the community. Just to be sure, are you referring to Battlefield 4? Did WeMod not automatically detect your game? Also, where did you buy the game from?

Hi. I’ll try to hit all the points.

  1. originally, the game was bought through the origin app, but then the EA app took over a year or so ago, so you run through the EA app normally.

  2. the game is normally run through EA, so I don’t know if it’s preferred to run as “PC” with a path (there are two paths by the way, the launcher and the x86 launcher).

  3. it detects and launches the game.

  4. i can here mods activate / de-activate by the tones

  5. since the update, which removed the ability to use the “history” versions of around 2020, the app no longer functions. I have removed and re-installed–trying an install of the BF4 trainer, or (after cleaning that off) trying the wemod v9 install.

No luck on any of it.

The previous versions were nearly flawless. The game hasn’t been changed in almost 8 years so I don’t know why the confusion now.

Hi there, we apologize for any inconvenience it has caused. If you haven’t noticed, the trainer selector is now back and can be found under mod settings You can try it now. Tho, you may need to restart the WeMod app to see it.

Do I need to install the BF4 trainer file or can this run from the main app? It wasn’t clear on which install in preferred.

The app will apply the trainer for you, You don’t need to do anything either then click play. Try the PC version first.

It wouldn’t run through PC.
The mods version only shows one date from 2017 but says (12) next to it.
I tried it on EA (which has different, and more preferred mods) than PC. Not sure why they are different?
EA does not work either. None of the selections works.’

I am running these from WeMod which activates the game from the EA app, for reference.

update i think i may have it solved. the EA route, then mod history.
