My high school issued to iPads to everyone in my grade. They are installed with an MDM Profile. My school says they have ways to track the iPads if they are lost or stolen. But can they track what I do? For the record I’m not a weird sketchy guy, I would just be uncomfortable if I knew that my school could see my activity.
I wouldn’t think so I think the MDM is just for security so they arn’t wasting money on tons of IPADs but I wouldn’t go watching porn or something on a “School” device.
Pretty sure with MDM they can check all activity on the ipad.

If it uses a security certificate, which it probably does you can remove those.
My school really isn’t that rich, at least compared to neighboring schools which gave their students Macbook Airs. Plus, we only keep the iPads for the duration of the time at our school, so after we graduate someone else will have our iPads.
And while in school they really are put to educational use, I can’t really say the same for when kids use their iPads at home.
Jeez, my school wouldn’t even let me bring me laptop to school for doing school work, since I type faster than I write. And my school still had old computers and still ran Office 2007, lol.
if you are on there network then yeah they can track your internet activity (just like any school), other than that really depends on if they installed anything on the ipad itself
My guess is obviously they can see if you do something AT school but I would guess whatever you did at home like whatever you did on the internet you’d be fine.
This is of course given that it doesn’t keep a history of everything you do. I would assume so that they could, after all they can see your accounts on social networking sites.
Jailbreak
It is the only way. Then see if there is a crack for removing this.

Don’t do things the school won’t like on their own iPad. Problem solved.

they may not may not beable to, really depends on a few things really… all depends on the law really.
or if they have approval of a parent/guardian if you are not atleast 18.
and once you give the ipad back to the school they can then also check the activity then (with or w/o permissiomn), since it is there property
