So am I the only one after upgrading to pro that has to deal with waiting forever for the app to load? It sits on the loading screen claiming to be checking for updates & I just downloaded the newest app from the site so what is it looking for, and why did it only start doing this after I signed up for monthly membership? Seams like it would load faster for paid members not slower.

The speed at which updates download is due to your personal internet connection, which is beyond WeMod’s control.
This includes potential throttling caused by either too many people using the internet in your location to stream/download at the same time, as well as throttling by your ISP for going over the “fair use” download limit in the small print of the contract you signed with them.
There are far too many user-sided and ISP-sided factors in play here, that jumping directly to the conclusion that WeMod is the cause is a bit far-fetched.
I’m a Pro member. With my unlimited super-fast fibre optic, the latest WeMod update finished downloading for me in about 20 to 30 seconds (educated guess, I wasn’t exactly counting).
Things you can try doing include
- Performing a speed test to see if you are getting the speeds outlined in your contract (or to see if you are being throttled by your ISP for overuse).
- Freeing up more system resources by closing unnecessary background processes.
- Pause any other downloads or streams in your household. This includes streaming (Netflix, scheduled TV recording, etc).
- Look into port forwarding.
