As far as I know and have seen over the past threads, they’re self funded to an extent (A company donated fans for his watercooled XBox). I would imagine he pays for the XBox’s and future projects by just flipping them:
>Buy Xbox ($200)
>Fix up, materials up to ($50?)
>Sell for $350, $400.
Rinse, repeat… or keep for awesome eye candy.
All I know is that I want one of his custom Xboxs.
Out of my own pocket.
Yes sometimes people / companies have donated some parts, but mostly i pay for everything, not really a cheap hobby, currently i have more fun and spend more time on modding my Xbox cases then actually playing them.
I wish i was making a profit, never get any profit from my cases, i really don’t mind though cause i enjoy making them.
I’d buy one from you man. You should make a website and post up some prices and show some of you previous cases. Myself personally really enjoy your work and appreciate your work and art. ![]()
It looks great, I can honestly see you selling this to someone that travels a lot and doesn’t have the room to bring a monitor/tv with them. Very cool.
Looks kinda like a super gameboy.
This is looking really good, Can’t wait to see the finished product. < 3
Looks very cool dude
Thanks for the nice comments people, appreciate it. More work will happen tomorrow have the day off and will get more work done.
Waiting on a new screen from Hong Kong. First the colors started showing incorrect then i tried to fit it in and forced a little to hard and cracked the screen. Great practice thou.
Nice. I love the case. Will you be selling these over ebay or something?
I dunno if it’s just me but it sort of looks like it has been wrapped in leather/vinyl in that pic.
Ohh my god your work is awesome, I especially like the mini one.
Got the new screen in today, started work on making sure everything was all working again
Its just mounted inside the case with no Xbox inside it for now.
Battlefield 3 testing time, its small but still playable.
Lack of updates for a few reasons, baby and extra hours at work have left me with less spare time.
I originally wanted internal speakers but its just not going to work with the limited space I have inside, maybe next time I attempt this mod I will try another way. I am thou still having the sound as an option, there will be a 3.5mm audio jack to connect some external speakers like the ones you could connect to an iPod / phone.
This is awesome xD
95% finished now, just finishing up the wires and ready to close it up. Connected the 3.5mm plug and can now listen through headphones and can even connect speakers. Headphones are coming out in great quality the sound is amazing.
Look’s great
Kudos to you mate! ![]()
Installed the switch to tell the Xbox that it is using the Component Video Cables.
Headphone jack next to it, still cant believe how nice the sound that is coming from this.
Some last minute testing before closing it up
Dusty in the shed, i will be repainting the case as i am not 100% happy with it.
All together and working perfect… sort of
It is all back together but I am not happy yet. Will take it all apart and re spray the case, and re organise all the cables a bit better. I hate selling a project if I am not happy with the finished product.
