I was plugging in my iPhone to charge it and I accidentally plugged it into two outlets at once. I have a 6 outlet extension, which sits upside down when plugged in. I plugged my phone into the two outlined ports in the below image. I just need to know if this could have damaged it. I don’t think it did since those are two different sized ports and would serve as “hot” and “neutral” ports on the outlet and it’d be a design flaw anyway. But I just got this phone and I’m being paranoid.
Did you see any smoke or explosions? The AC adapter shouldn’t be able to handle different inputs.
No
You should be good. The larger slot indicated it is a neutral and the smaller is a hot. There should never be two ground or two hots side by side.
