I’m new to the app and I wanted to know if there’s a possibility of viruses, data theft, or anything like that. I get a little paranoid about it, and it’s just a question I have before downloading and installing.

That’s a completely fair question, it’s always smart to be cautious when downloading new software, so no worries at all.
WeMod (now known as Wand) is a legitimate and trusted company based in the United States. The app is used by millions of gamers around the world and has been around for several years. It does not contain any viruses, malware, or spyware, and it does not steal your personal information.
In fact, Wand is designed to enhance your single-player gaming experience safely and easily. It might sometimes be flagged by antivirus software simply because it modifies game memory to enable cheats but this is a false positive, not a real threat.

You should be using the latest installer. If you’re still seeing the old home page, you should notice a yellow banner prompting you to switch to the new page (shown in the first image).
Once you follow that prompt, you’ll be taken to our new page, as shown in the second image.
If you’ve installed the correct and most up to date version of the app, your interface should look like what’s shown in the final image. If it doesn’t, please make sure you’ve downloaded the latest installer.
