Good evening everyone, I have heard that a few people have been having issues with there controllers working in far cry 5, some people have said it has too do with the eac bypass, well it actually is a configuration issue within steam & far cry 5’s game settings. Today i am gonna explain how to get this all resolved.
Note: This is for steam only.
1: Go to Steam/Settings/Controller/General Controller Settings
2: On the list you will see an xbox configuration support, click it to have it checked off & activated.
3: Go into steam big picture mode.
4: Go to your games and click far cry 5.
5: Click manage game & then controller options, there you will see use steam configuration for non steam controllers, click the one that says Global Setting(Xbox), then click okay and exit steam big picture mode.
6: Launch far cry 5 from infinity and when you do you will see a message that comes up from steam and says the steam community access while playing, that means the controller is know activated.
You should be good to go then. Any issues let me know, thank you.
Note: Many people on ubisoft forums are reporting controller issues, hopefully there will be updates to fix certain bugs that the big picture can not fix.
the left trigger wont work in vehicles
@thezodiacchiller yes i am aware of that one, only that analog stick does.
@thezodiacchiller if you look in options and gamepad, for driving there is no defined control for left trigger, ubisoft’s is gonna have to do some updates to get this controller issue resolved. There are plenty of people on ubisoft’s forums saying the same thing we are.
@ptondo @thezodiacchiller maybe ubisoft should of had this issue fixed before launching a TRIPLE A TITLE. Just some food for thought.
Now when I plug in my controller it constantly pulls the cursor down how do I fix that
@thezodiacchiller i have noticed it does that as well for me, what i have done is paused the game and the tab out or save and exit the game and go back in after like 2 mins, again that is another bug with the the controller.

@thezodiacchiller Okay, here are few things i have done
1: Pause the game and then hit alt & tab to and select either my desktop, steam, etc.
2: Save & exit the game, go back to far cry 5 after a few minutes and see if the mouse is dragging along
3: Restart my unit and then go back to far cry 5.

This worked for me. Turn off the BP overlay for games other than far cry.
