Final Fantasy XIII-2 Cheats and Trainer for Steam

Although you’re using your desktop to play the game are you also using a cheap quality HDMI to your monitor if so I would suggest using a higher quality HDMI cable that fixed my problem apparently some games and their trainers don’t tend to work very well through cheap HDMI cables

Uhhh…Definitely not the case. Whatever fixed it for you wasn’t the HDMI cable.

It did for me so i don’t know what you’re talking about.

Well like me i use expensive cables already and some of the trainers still dont work what now ?
I heard wrapping aluminum foil around the cables makes them faster

@ptondo Have you clicked Play? Until there is a checkmark next to Play, no amount of expensive cables will help.

I’ve actually heard that clapping twice and then twirling once does fix it, do you guys live in a cave?

Unlimited CP seems to be what crashes my game when saving. Toggle it on then off and trying to save doesn’t work either. My guess is the amount of CP is the actual issue since turning the trainer off still causes a crash when saving. Just want to know your thoughts on this. Thank you.

I’m going to try other fixes. I didn’t realize before replying, the game does have issues with crashing due to compatibility and Steam settings and I should have checked first.

What settings? I’m having the same problem with it crashing. I’m not very computer literate.

Well I don’t know if this has been resolved fully, because it certainly isn’t working as intended. I’m using the Steam version, with cloud saves turned off because it was crashing at title screen with it on (a bug that to this day remains unresolved, thanks SE). Whilst turned off and launching the game through Steam it can run just fine. I’ve tried clicking Play in Infinity once my save is loaded, but nothing really happens. I’ve also tried launching the game through Infinity, and it crashes upon save load or new-game select. And looking through the posts here, it seems you can’t replicate the issue, even though several people have reported the same issue.

Whilst I don’t blame you for not caring about a game that’s so old with a bug that you can’t seem to replicate, it doesn’t really bode well for the claim that you can use Infinity to play with cheats/mods at any time, when that isn’t the case for a small minority. However, I also don’t think it has anything to do with Infinity either, as previously mentioned, SE hasn’t fixed the cloud-save bug with Steam and it’s been 4 years now since that bug first appeared, so it may very well be something completely out of your control.

However there isn’t a resolution posted on this thread either, and that does make me kinda sad (especially since I can’t use my previous save because of the cloud-save bug).

Edit 1: As a quick edit, I had a thought that maybe it might be a resolution bug for me, since I play in 4k. I switched to 1920x1080 in Windowed mode, and it appears to be working, as it got past the save-load crash. However this may just be a temporary fix, but I’ll edit again if it either crashes at a certain point, or activating something crashes it.

So after several days and many hours, these are the following bugs I’ve found:
1: Regardless of resolution, the game will crash at random points. It’s signalled by a sudden stutter and loss of framerate before crashing.
2: By activating the “Give Gill” command during a cutscene several times, the game will crash.
3: In resolutions higher than 1920x1080, the game will refuse to load your save game when loaded with Infinity.
4: Loading the game with Infinity causes a noticeable dip in FPS, even on a beefy rig.
5: Using the Infinite HP without any other cheats active, whilst tackling a fairly long-winded boss, will eventually cause the game to crash (tested against Long Gui, His Royal Ripeness, and Atlas).
6: Battling against bosses with QTE’s whilst using One Hit Kill will very rarely cause the game to crash.

Whilst I doubt work will be done to fix these issues, it would still be nice to know that people aren’t alone in these crashes.

I’ll look into these bugs when I’ll be able to (I never ignore your posts guys), plus I want to emphasize the fact that for most of my work here (updating trainers, fixing bugs, etc.) I don’t get paid.

I recently started playing XIII-2 and I notice when I use the trainer it just wont load my save file at all, and that’s without having any cheats turned on. If I launch the game from steam by itself it’s fine but when I launch with wemod it just crashes the game when it tries to load the save,

ok I turned off cloud saves and now it seems to work? Is that how this is supposed to function?

Sorel at this point you’ve probably already fixed it, but I found out that FF13-2 was a relatively poor port that suffered major issues. Turn off cloud saves, load the game via steam, load your save profile, then once you’re in, load up WeMod, find FF13-2, click “Play”, wait a few seconds, then activate the cheats you want.
That’s the only way I could get it to work.

Yeah that’s how I made it work, thanks!

my friend , REPPIN, I cant open my steam version too, can u help me about that,

thanks alot

I’m afraid I have the same problems. I actually bought the game through Steam because I want to use the trainer. I beat the tar out of it on PS3 years ago, but couldn’t grind enough to get every little thing done (casino coins, etc.) so I wanted to play it on PC where I could cheat.

And FYI I truly appreciate the fact that you do this for free in your spare time. Sorry to sound like I’m whining.

I think a couple people said turn off cloud saves.
Start the game from steam first then,
Back out to desktop then click play in wemod.

Tried it. All of it. Turned off cloud saves. Started the game from steam. Have to run the executable in Windows Vista Compatability mode just to eliminate a ridiculous buzzing noise coming out of the speaker.

When I hit play in the WeMod app during gameplay it either says its unable to load cheats into the game, or worse, simply crashes the game. When I load from WeMod, it crashed when it finishes loading the save.
