This eventual downfall is why I use a wall charger and only use the Play and charge cord for long continually use like Rubber banding.
Thats why i bought 2 wired controllers. They are better nicer and they are cheaper

You could also open up the battery on the controller and swap out the batteries for some better rechargable ones…

Hey Nookie,
If you know its a dead battery pack, I have a painless fix.
It’s usually caused by two reasons:
- The Battery is conditioned improperly.
- The Charging indicator circuit is faulty (if equipped).

Either way, this fix works for both. It’s best to reset
the indicator circuit after fully discharging it.
