Trainer only works for the first stage of the game “Garage Office”. Start a new game or continue an existing game in the Garage office then activate cheats then spend Cash/Research points to get cheats effect.

You should have the game fully loaded into gameplay and not working on something then activate cheats wait 20 seconds then start working on a project

Could be a mod effecting the cheats or something , Like i already mentioned the game engine isn’t easy to make cheats for .

This trainer only works in the first stage, garage office. After that it will no longer work. The game does not take kindly to any trainers at all, there are very few that can even do what this trainer does. If you are not past the garage level and it’s still not working please do post again and let me know

Still doesn’t work on the last steam version. A few seconds after activation, the cheats desactivate themself.

Did you follow the instructions in @MrAntiFun’s post here: Game Dev Tycoon Cheats and Trainer for Steam?
If not, take a look at @Instinct’s post above yours. It looks like this game is trying everything it can to prevent cheating.
Just tested this trainer, works flawlessly on the first dev area which is the only supported area currently. Please make sure you’re on the latest retail copy and then try again.

@CentralGiraffe858 - Are you using any mods? I was getting the same thing when I had mods installed, had to uninstall the game and reinstall to get them to not crash the game.
it’s crashing for me, no mods

game crashes when the cheat takes effect on first area, at first it crashed right when i gained research, after i disabled the official API the game crashed when i tried to use research points.

Cheats definitely do not work. Re-tried multiple times by creating news games. The cheats turn on in the app, but that’s pretty it.
I have also found the same as SensibleTamato and unretired. Seems the trainer most certainly needs updating.
