So I’ve just found something really interesting that might interest all Halo fans that browse this site. I’ve found a free to play Halo Online game built using the Halo 3 engine for PC, it is basically everything you know and love about Halo 3 but with added features like a server browser and mods.
we should play however there is no sign ups or friends lists, it’s give yourself a username and pick your armour. So we’ll have to make an WeMod server.
Like I said… pretty simple. Basically forwarding 3 ports.
11775 -TCP 11774 - UDP 9987 - UDP
You can view http://YOURSERVERIP:11775 in your browser if you wish to see if
your ports were forwarded successfully. (This might not work for all routers)
You will first want to forward the ports on your router. This guide will not explain
how to do so but will offer a useful resource to help provide you with
help if needed. See above link for help. The ports needed to be forwarded are
displayed above.
Once these ports are forwarded. Open your game and Click Multiplayer or
Forge. Change the Network type to ‘Online’ and click ‘Host Game’. Congrats
your server is now online.
NOTE : If it fails to show in the server browser. Press your console key again
and type ‘Server.Announce’. If it appears now check your ports to confirm
they are forwarded correctly.
Played for about 45min. Sound lag is a little wonky but once they fix that the game will be great. Shows a lot of promise. Gonna take me a while to get used to not playing with a controller, but I did alright most games
