I’m attempting to mod Forza Horizon 1. I have HxD Editor and I have Horizon Diamond and all the code books, etc. When ever i go to save i get a big error message box and it won’t let me save. what is the problem??

no one seems to know the problem and it is honestly very annoying. someone please help me.
Can you post the error message?
That error means you have your save file open in another program besides Horizon, close any other programs you have your save open in and try again. If that doesn’t work try rebooting your computer and remodding the save!
there isn’t anything else open besides Horizon Diamond, and I tried the other solution.
some more info though, when i extract the file it comes up as a notepad file, idk if that has anything to do with it
It doesn’t matter what the file shows up as. If you have extracted it from Horizon then it is the correct format. Have you modding it directly from Horizon and modding an extracted copy?
I go on horizon, extract file to desktop, drag it to hxd editor, edit my stuff. (it makes a bak file) i go to inject the original copy not the bak file and i click save and the error comes up
Restart your computer after you have edited your stuff.
why should i do that?
Well because it’ll close all the other running programs to make sure the save isn’t being used by another program.
