How to mod Crackdown 1 & 2.
This thread will show you how to mod your Crackdown savegames using Horizon. Both editors are simple to use, but if you’re having a problem, hopefully these tutorials will resolve said problems.
Crackdown 1
1. Move your Crackdown save from your Xbox to your USB device configured to your Xbox 360.
2. Plug in your USB device to your Computer, and open up Horizon. Your device should pop up in the device explorer automatically, if not try running Horizon as Administrator.
3. Once your device is opened in the Device Explorer, double click on the games tab and search for “Crackdown”, (they are listed in alphabetical order).
When you find it, double click it to open up all the gamesaves you have on your device. To open the save in the editor, either double click on the savegame and it’ll open, or click on the savegame and click on the mod button at the top of the device explorer.
Once you open up the save, the editor should automatically open up.
4. Mod your save to your desire. The Crackdown editor is fairly simple to use. Using the tool, you can edit the values of “Orbs”.
You can edit the values manually or by selecting the “Maximum Values” option.
There’s also the option to remove or restore Orbs on the right hand side of the tool. If you don’t want to neither, keep the option as “unchanged”.
5. Once you’re finished modding your save, Rehash, Resign and Save your changes by clicking on the orange save button in the top right hand corner of the editor.
You should get a message confirming the process has been successful, if not; click save again.
You’re then free to disconnect you device from your computer, plug it back into your Xbox 360 and enjoy your new modded game.
Crackdown 2
1. Move your Crackdown 2 save from your Xbox to your USB device configured to your Xbox 360.
2. Plug in your USB device to your Computer, and open up Horizon. Your device should pop up in the device explorer automatically, if not try running Horizon as Administrator.
3. Once your device is opened in the Device Explorer, double click on the games tab and search for “Crackdown 2”, (they are listed in alphabetical order).
When you find it, double click it to open up all the gamesaves you have on your device. To open the save in the editor, either double click on the savegame and it’ll open, or click on the savegame and click on the mod button at the top of the device explorer.
Once you open up the save, the editor should automatically open up.
4. Mod your save to your desire. The Crackdown 2 editor is simple to use as you only have to edit the values that are available.
There are five skills that you can choose to edit: Agility, Explosives, Strength, Firearms and Driving. You can edit each skill level by entering a value manually, 1 being the minimum and 5 being the maximum value.
5. Once you’re finished modding your save, Rehash, Resign and Save your changes by clicking on the orange save button in the top right hand corner of the editor.
You should get a message confirming the process has been successful, if not; click save again.
You’re then free to disconnect you device from your computer, plug it back into your Xbox 360 and enjoy your new modded game.
