Yes it replaces your gamer picture, but you can also save the gamer picture to the HDD by clicking “Create Picture Pack”.

Nope entirely true. It depends on your connection and how many picture are in the pack you are searching for. E.g Konsole Kingz, lots of pictures, takes a while to load them all.
