Trying to mod an xbox360 Halo CE Anniversary save with Horizon/Liberty. I transferred save to PC and open it with device explorer, but there’s nothing inside the save to extract as with other Halo games.
I can extract “savegame_file’ from the save, but Liberty chokes on it. I recall needing to extract something from within the save. So researched and ended up here. I’ve modded saves for other Halo games via Liberty - though it’s been years… It’s possible I’ve just forgotten how it works and doing something wrong.
I also came across this thread:
…which seems to indicate editing saves for Halo CEA is possible. I’d be happy with any means to be able to play campaign modded. I feel like there’s some key detail I’m missing.
My 10 year old son and I recently played through Halo CEA together and it was awesome. It was his first FPS. It was mine too back in the early 2000’s (on OG Xbox). I told him we should play through again modded before we start Halo 2 and got him all hyped about it…guess I shoulda verified it’s possible first
