Hey guys, today I found a way to get onto your schools wifi, if they have it blocked, or your not able to access it without a password!
this is only available if you have a jailbroken iphone, or ipod (or ipad, but you dont want to be pulling that out in class, lol)
Go to cydia and download something called “macX4 MAC Changer”
Once downloaded, open the newly installed cydia app up.
It will have the option to put in a new MAC address, and it will have 2 buttons, one that says “change MAC!” and another “Restore Original MAC”
hop onto a nearest computer (preferably a Apple, or MAC computer) (I HAVE NOT TRIED TO SEE IF IT WILL WORK WITH WINDOWS!)
Get the computers MAC address, and copy it down
Go back into macX4 and type the MAC address from the computer, then hit “Change MAC!”
Your iphone/ipod will reboot, and when it turns back on it will prompt you with the screen like if you just restored it. Dont worry, everything is saved, and nothing happened! Click next, then next page should be a wifi settings page, this is where you select if you want to connect to a network or not.
CONNECT TO SCHOOLS NETWORK/WIFI!
It will validate/register the iphone/ipod and then quickly go back to springboard.
Congrats, you are now on the schools wifi!
If you no longer want to be on the schools wifi, go back into macX4 and just it restore original MAC.
Yes, I did find this my self, and did write this out my self.
This is for people who cant, or dont have access to the schools wifi. Like my school doesent allow iphones/ipods to connect, thats why I found this method
This will only work if they have mac address filtering turned on
And i highly doubt they will. Anyway still this still will not get you past the password verification. It will still promp you for a password even if you spoof your mac address to one that is on the verified list. So pointless doing this.
I cant just randomly get on a computer when ever I want. I WOULD get on my iphone and surf the internet, but they have a no service thing in the school where it just kills all service for phones.
