So you can get the Gamertag back on your new account.
Not sure if they fixed this, but it is not working for me. Followed the directions perfectly and was greeted with this page when selecting the “Change Zune Tag” option.

So this allows you to change your banned gamertag to something new, but you are still banned?
can I use the microsoft points on the banned account to buy something with this method since it thinks it is a zune account or am I way off?
