In the past the problem wasnt if I put in a wrong value. Because in the past if I put in a wrong value I could just extract the savgame.dat again and I could change the value to the correct number. This problem seems to do nothing with the modding program. Horizon is not processing the save game correctly which is leading to the first 8 bytes not being able to be read.
I see. Might have been that you pulled out the flash drive before it finished writing. Modding programs can also sometimes randomly corrupt files. however, horizon has a very low corruption ratio but it’s still a possibility. Restoring a corrupted file can be extremely difficult and will require either skill or a program of some sorts.
Just make sure to create a backup of the file you want to mod in the future.
