I mean it would be stupid to use for anything online, but people would probably be interested in modding their kill count for Seriously on Gears of War. I’d be more interested in modding singleplayer to make things easier, but I’d be afraid of being detected somehow if I left the tool running while signed in.
I’m not 100% sure, but I doubt you will get banned from modding single player.
Ban for single player? Nah, they won’t. I’ve used trainers and ■■■■. If you’re paranoid set it up to play offline if possible. Like put the game in offline mode.
As for MP, it depends if the game uses its own cheat protection. For example Call of Duty uses Punkbuster, which will ban you for using things like hacks in game but you can mod your rank in lobby with a trainer and not get banned. I know that for a fact. So I would say your safe honestly. But that was with Steam and ■■■■. As for Games for Windows LIVE I would only use single player mods.
Trainers disable GFWL (xlive scanner) which also disable achievements and anything online so you can’t get banned if you cheat. So don’t worry, there is zero risk of getting banned.
Xlive is history anyway, didn’t Microsoft discontinue it ?
GFWL still exists, but a lot of games had it patched out by steam and the digital marketplace is pretty much gone. I think they actually use the 360 login servers, so maybe they can’t totally kill it. That would explain why you get kicked off 360 when signing into GFWL, whereas XB1 and 360/GFWL can be signed in at the same time.
