Wow… Just WOW! Never again, stuff that…
I feel your pain hombre
01.) Did you complete Lvl. 35 with success?
02.) Did you get everything or anything? (ex: Elder Cipher, Weapons, etc.)
03.) Who did you complete / try to complete the content with?
Also you did 35 PoE with Angry and Catapult…wait till you do that crap with Lightswitch and Trickle thats a pain in the ass…and also the one with the Cabal boss that changes his shield to Solar/arc/void…i forgot the modifiers it had but it was very very harder than the 35 PoE it that cabal was only level 34
Definitely. I recently assisted a friend with completing POE - Lvl. 35 and we did it when the Skolas modifiers weren’t going against the fireteam beating him. (Small Arms + Lightswitch) So for anyone who has still needs to beat Skolas, I advise trying to form a fireteam when the modifiers aren’t that stupid!
-
Successfully… Yes, I would say! It only took three attempts to defeat him and the previous two attempts only failed due to small/silly mistakes so it wasn’t like we weren’t able to beat him.
-
I got a Ship, Shader, Emblem, Two Elder Cyphers?? (It takes up two bounty slots), someone got a “Claw” but that was the only weapon I saw that was rewarded.
-
I did it solo…
…
The REAL answer;- I completed it with two other players I found on one of those ‘LFG’ sites. They were kind enough to walk me through it and had the patience too.
Overall, I guess it wasn’t too bad but what puts me off from doing it again is how long it takes, especially if you can’t do it first try. I now understand why a lot ask to be picked up at he Skolas checkpoint.
The other two I was playing it with, also said that the “Lightswitch” modifier sucks too when doing Skolas.
I need to do 35 when I get back I hope the modifiers are better after the refresh as I will be back then.
Here’s our run from before the reset. Ran with two hunters that had invisibility for the mines, and I ran self res. Started off with doing the heavy ammo glitch since popping a synth on 360 takes a half hour.
We would only proc the mine spawns once I had my super up, in case we needed an emergency res. And we did, many times. Focused a lot on just clearing adds, but this run was one of the least stressful I’ve ever done. Quite a few oh sh*t! moments as well
Obviously everyone is entitled to an opinion, but I don’t find it difficult to defeat Skolas with said modifier active.
Well, the modifiers at Skolas this week are Small Arms - Primary Weapon damage is favored and Lightswitch - Minions of the Darkness deal much more melee damage. Good luck!
They seem decent, I ain’t back till after the next reset though
I would of done the 35.
Ah, that sucks, but, for future notice, Small Arms + Lightswitch isn’t difficult if you have teammates that know what they’re doing; especially if you have the Fang of Ir Yût since it has the Third Eye perk and has Arc burn for the Fallen enemies.
oh ya also fatebringer helps alot if you kill all captains first and melee vandles even w/o the hud just be aware of your surroundings
Whether your fireteam knows what they’re doing or not, Lightswitch and Small arms is the worst possible combination of modifiers for Skolas, and it’s every other week. Secondaries and heavies do very little damage and aren’t even worth using on Skolas. So you’ll just be picking away at him all game with scouts and hand cannons, while having to worry about 1 hit KO melee’s. It takes forever and a half. I would wait until next week tbh, when the modifiers are less ****ty
I’ll try it when I can, lightswitch puts me off this weeks 35 a little bit. I already nearly get one hit as I am 33. One more etheric please.
Are you still on 360 man? We should add each other. I can help you with some 34 PoE’s
Okay, now that’s a bit absurd, especially when considering the other modifiers and what could be set. Take last weeks POE - Lvl. 35 as an example, (Angry and Catapult), one perk makes it so the enemy won’t flinch or stagger, even after having a massive amount of damage done to them, and the other would allow us to regenerate our grenades quicker then usual; neither benefit the player because the enemy will just keep on being resilient.
Like I always say, everyone is entitled to an opinion and may feel differently, but, when it comes to this certain topic, I’m trying to think of another set of modifiers that would make defeating Skolas a little easier besides Small Arms + Lightswitch…
Yeah, PM me your GT and I’ll add you when I get back.
Last week’s modifiers were a cake walk compared to LS+SA. They just don’t compare.
I would MUCH rather deal with an unflinching captain major rather than one that is impervious to my arc shotgun in a face to face combat situation because of the small arms modifier, and on top of that he can just 1 hit KO me if I don’t book it out of there ASAP. Small arms forces you to distance yourself from the enemy because of how strongly it nerfs special & heavy damage. Distancing yourself from an enemy that is constantly respawning in a small arena with little cover just puts you at a disadvantage.
Any set of modifiers other than a combination of Small Arms & Lightswitch, would be much better than Small Arms & Lightswitch.
I would take Brawler, Specialist, Grounded, Angry, Catapult, or Trickle any day of the week.
Watch the run I posted a page back. We were able to take our time, spawn mines at our leisure, not deal with adds during damage phases. You can’t do that with small arms and lightswitch. Everyone has to put their try hard panties on and try not to wipe every five minutes. I’d be more than happy to upload a lightswitch & small arms run this week with the same people and show you the clear difference in difficulty.
I sooo agree with you zodiac lightswitch is not all THAT bad but it can get very very VERY annoying when they just walk you down and you are running full sprint…ya this weeks PoE takes a little longer but getting in those groups with people with no mics (for god sakes people your xbox one COMES WITH A MIC WHEN YOU BUY ONE…USE IT)…but those groups i try to not get in cause you gonna spend hours doing something simple and i hate it xause i have three characters to do also but ya
I would take Brawler, Specialist, Grounded, Angry, Catapult, or Trickle any day of the week also
