I see him as quite the character, a dude I could see myself having some good times with behind closed doors. There’s just something about him. I definitely don’t agree with that pill price increase ordeal. I could see if it was something like Viagra and pull a stunt like that, but not with a medication certain people need to stay living. I’ve been a big Wu-Tang fan since their first material dropped back in like 92’. It’s just crazy that Marty bought their $2 mil album and is now beefing with Ghostface Killah over all this. Turing pharma gave away 60% of their pills for free. Insurance covers a large portion of the price anyways, so that’s not even the problem.
There’s nothing criminal about raising the price of your own product. Price gouging isn’t illegal, if I wanted to I could charge a million dollars for my product.
About the albums, he’s been talking about buying Kanye wests new album privately before release and now releasing it. That would be awesome.

Morally sure he’s a douchebag, ■■■■■, ■■■■, whatever you want to call him. But, the world does not run on morals so he just happened to be “in the right place at the right time” with the drug. Like I understand that yes millions of people need it to survive, but end of the day we live in a Capitalistic society and literally cash rules everything.
Maybe it’s my inner business man speaking or I’m saying this because I don’t need the drug so I don’t understand how people feel, but he isn’t wrong for raising his prices.
It gives him his profit which EVERYONE wants, a lot of people would do the same if they were in his position.
And I sort of do agree that because prices increased it gives the company more capital to put into R&D for the future. Hell where is that money supposed to come from? Is he going to shake his tree in his backyard and have the leaves magically turn into dollars? Like someone has to finance R&D for these things, it isn’t going to be the government even though they do give tax cuts and ■■■■ to these companies, and I sure don’t see philanthropists contributing to these companies.
Millions of people do not need daraprim to survive. Elaborate on that.
Sure, you can raise the price of your own product, but in most cases if the price of your product is ridiculously high then people simply wont buy your product, this case is different as his product is something some people NEED, and have no other option but to buy his product and he’s taking advantage of that which sure isn’t illegal but it’s extremely scum-baggy and a very valid reason to dislike him.
Implying everyone is paying full price out of pocket. With most pharmaceutical manufacturers you can go straight to them and get discounted drugs. There’s also a little something called insurance.
Who pays full price for daraprim? Walmart and hospitals.
