I haven’t been able to find anything pertaining to this on the forums so i figured I would ask about it here. Dose anyone know of a save editor for the first Mass Effect, I know of the Gibbed Editor for Mass Effect 2 but can not find an editor for the first game. if you know of one or a tutorial for hex editing it please comment and post.
No tool was ever made, just Hex Editing.
Yeah i figured no tool ever got made, the hex editing of its pretty easy I was just hopeing and wishing for something as simple as “Gibbed.” Oh well thanks anyways and happy Gaming.
There is a tool for ME1 editing, it’s just within another program, like Horizon. I think it’s called… 360Revolution.
You don’t need to extract your “.xbsav” either, I don’t think, but don’t quote me.
All it does for you though is Credits and EXP.
I’ll just be nice and give you all this tool found it off of a forum i dug for it works. you are welcome. and I did not make it. Im just awesome at getting what i want. =] Mass Effect 3 Editor.rar
All you got to do is upload your save. BOOYAH.
Well urath if the thread was asking about ME3 that would be helpful but the thread is about ME1.
This is the Mass Effect 1 editor that I used, it only mods Credits and XP though.
You can find out how much experience you need for each level by following this link.

The YouTube video is pretty good. It helps to read ALL the comments on it to understand how to do it properly.
If you use the tool listed here to increase your XP first, and don’t assign the talent points, then you can use HxD hex editor to easily locate and max out your talents.
The talents value location seems to be dynamic (moves around in the file depending on what you’ve done etc.) and I’ve yet to be able to hack it up while keeping my XP low (for my insanity playthrough so the enemies are easier to take down). The talents are apparently tied to XP somehow, not allowing us to have high talent points with a low XP.
There are typically 2-3 locations near the players name in the save that match the talent points.
If anyone knows a trick to do this, I’d really appreciate it.
Note: when I change what should be the talent points in the file, it says disc is bad - clean it. And yes, I’ve tried editing all 3 different spots (one at a time) matching my number.
4.3 DO NOT bump topics. Doing so causes unnecessary clutter to the forum.
