Unlimited money seems to be broken. I activated it but the money doesn’t change, and when I buy something the money value goes down. Can you fix t his?

To be honest I have no idea. It’s been a few months since I played it. I started a new game, got far enough to use the blacksmith. Saved exited the game. Restarted with program intact. I used the code while in game and nothing changed, went into the blacksmith and bought something to make sure that wasn’t it. Activated the money before I hit continue as well just to make sure. Still the money cheat didn’t work. It was odd. I got my fix from Cheat engine though.
In case anybody else wonders why Unlimited Amrita and Money seem to not work: Unlimited Money worked for me after I killed a mob. Unlimited Amrita worked for me on the first try, but if it doesn’t work for you, then try killing something first.
