Petition to Remove the WeMod (WAND) Time Limit

The 2-hour time limit added to WAND is genuinely one of the worst decisions the developers could have made for the community. What made WeMod popular in the first place was freedom, accessibility, and convenience. People used it because it felt like a community-focused platform where players could enjoy single-player games the way they wanted without unnecessary restrictions. Adding a hard daily limit completely destroys that feeling and turns the experience into a countdown timer instead of something enjoyable.

Two hours is simply not enough. Many modern games require long sessions, grinding, exploration, testing builds, or simply relaxing after work or school. Some players spend over an hour just progressing through quests, cutscenes, travel, or setup. By the time players actually start enjoying themselves, the timer is already close to running out. A “2-hour limit” does not feel like a fair free tier — it feels like pressure designed to force users into paying.

The worst part is how many long-time users suddenly feel betrayed. Across the community forums and Reddit, countless people have been complaining about the exact same thing. Users who supported the platform for years are saying they are now looking for alternatives, uninstalling the app, or leaving entirely because of this change. Some users even said the app now feels bloated, restrictive, and focused more on monetization than the community that helped build it.

People are not angry because developers need money. Most users understand servers, trainer development, and maintenance cost money. The issue is the way this was handled. A strict 2-hour timer is excessive and makes the free experience feel intentionally frustrating. Even community posts criticizing the limit describe it as “a terrible move,” “a cash grab,” and “bad design.”

This is why the community needs to come together and make our voices heard respectfully but loudly. If enough users speak up together, there is still a chance the developers reconsider this decision. A petition is not about attacking the developers — it is about showing how strongly the community disagrees with the current direction of the platform.

If you agree that the 2-hour limit should be removed or significantly increased, support this post, share your feedback, and help spread awareness. The community helped make WeMod successful, and the community deserves to be heard.

Thank you for taking the time to write this out so thoughtfully and for keeping the tone respectful. These are fair points and we want to address them honestly.

We hear the community and we acknowledge that the 2-hour daily session has been one of our most impactful changes. The frustration from long-time users is real and we don’t dismiss it. The decision was reintroduced to help us sustainably support mod development across thousands of games and keep everything running for everyone. We understand that explanation doesn’t make the limit feel less restrictive for players with longer sessions.

Your feedback about the session length, the way it was communicated, and the impact on the community has all been passed along to the team. Nothing shared here goes unread and posts like this genuinely influence how we think about the platform going forward.

If you have further feedback or specific account concerns, feel free to reach out to us at support@wand.com. We appreciate you caring enough to speak up.
