Please be more considerate for Linux compatibility for new changes to the application

Most people are wanting Linux compatibility but maybe another suggestion is to make any new changes be more compatible with Linux (i.e. Wine or Proton).

I say this because WeMod used to at least work since before version 11.6.0 in Linux. After this version it no longer works for whatever reason. Both the previous and new versions require .Net 4.8 so it is not really this that is breaking Linux compatibility.

So maybe instead of working a Linux version or trying to support Linux, I am suggesting if new changes consider Linux compatibility? All you would really need to do is install it on a Wine prefix to test if it still works.

I have been using 11.6 in Lutris/Wine and it works without issue. It if works there I am sure other people will be able to get it working in the Steam Desck.

Anyway just my thoughts on the matter

I agree, maybe rather than trying to port Wand for Linux, only fixing app launching through Proton/Wine compatability will fix the issue, since the launching of the app is a known issue and is currently the only thing that actually prevents the app from running, and since WeMod used to work just fine, i’m convinced it’s possible to do something with Wand aswell
