The Sims 4 is now free to play from the Epic Games Store.
This game became free-to-play in October 2022 - except for its DLCs - in all the stores it was listed in. It has only just become listed in the Epic Games store recently.

“Wait, why is The Sims 4 free to play?!” - I hear you ask. Because EA makes more money from selling The Sims DLCs than it does from selling The Sims base game.
