Hello everyone, recently I’ve been considering using WeMod casually in certain single-player games like Total War, Hotline Miami, etc… Nothing special, just for fun and experimenting.
My concern is that I value Steam achievements and am registered on websites like TrueAchievementSteam. I’m worried about using WeMod while playing. My question is, how safe is it to use WeMod? For example, if I unlock an achievement using WeMod, either intentionally or unintentionally, is it detectable? Should I play while disconnected from Steam? What advice do you have? I’ve used WeMod for achievements many times and haven’t faced any punishment. However, if you’re joining third-party sites that track and rank achievements, you might get called out. It’s pretty easy to notice if you unlock all 325 achievements in just 10 hours, for example.
I really don’t intend to use WeMod to unlock achievements; it’s just in case I accidentally unlock one while using it. I suppose that by playing normally and unlocking them as expected, there shouldn’t be a problem. My intention with WeMod is more out of curiosity and experimentation, like when we used cheats in GTA on the PS2.
Regarding VALVE and Steam, do you have any recommendations, such as playing offline? Or is there really no issue as long as I use it in single-player mode?
It’s funny that you mention the 300 achievements because in Halo: TMCC, I have 300 achievements unlocked at once due to the cross-progression with my Xbox game. kewk.
There is minimal risk involved. WeMod does not create cheats for multiplayer games or engage in any harmful activities with the Steam app so there is no substantial reason for Steam to ban you. However certain games such as Bloons TD may automatically flag your account so you cant play multiplayer and there is a warning on the page before you try to play it.
You’ll be fine using WeMod for any single-player game. Unlocking an achievement here and there won’t put you at any risk.
