because more and more publishers and developers are baking anticheat code into the game’s engine

Most Ubisoft games do this between EasyAnti-Cheat and the Connect platform itself which must be running (or if you own it via Steam, it installs the necessary Connect related software with the game so it’s always there), making even single-player games of yesteryear (like Ghost Recon Wildlands and Breakland, Far Cry titles, some Assassin’s Creed titles, etc) basically online-service games where the baked in code makes handshakes with a third-party platform or via a server and if the code in the memory doesn’t match what it thinks should be.. it crashes the game and sometimes reports your account directly to whatever platform..

Civilization 7 does this, making the WeMod trainer essentially worthless… even Steam has been handing out online access bans for people testing the trainer in single player games.. because the anticheat that’s baked into the game reports you without you even knowing it did..

every year more-and-more video games are being handled like Blizzard handles Diablo games now… and WeMod trainer developers are becoming more prone to listing new releases or upcoming titles as ā€œwe ain’t making a trainer for thatā€ because they will not support cheating online where what you do could affect the greater community or economy or whatever

WWE titles no longer get trainers because of this, too

get used to it

it isn’t going away

in fact, it’s increasing with every year that goes by

Hi, I had issues with this game crashing in the past. and the trainer not working as intended. I’m running a 4070ti. An internet post gave instructions to roll back your Nvidia driver to 32.0.15.66 ish. i did a clean install of that and my game hasn’t crashed since.

I’m not understanding some of these comments. I just used the trainer almost everyday for the last month and it seems to working fine for me?

So the WeMod trainers for RE4 require the additional download of a file.
The issue is that some time after installing the file, a 4-segment circle with a dot on center, much like a videogame gun reticle appeared on my screen. The issue is that it’s always on. If I put my PC to sleep, it sleeps with the reticle always on. I have tried deleting the file, but the reticle doesn’t go away.

I regret using the trainers for the game, because there’s no option to turn this off in the in-game menu installed unto the game by that file. Any ideas getting rid of it?

Any help would be much appreciated, because this issue is very annoying to go through every day.

Hey! May I know where did you purchase your game from?

unlimited health does NOT apply to areas like the mine cart, basically useless for unlimited health or god mode…

downloaded the game from steam and the game just crashes every time. is there something you can do to fix it. the mods just don’t work, and it crashes the moment the mods are activated. I even tried pressing play from we mod to see if that worked and it didn’t.

Yeah the mods don’t work whether start it through Steam or start it through the mod app I even decided to buy the game again and download it on my Xbox app but it still doesn’t work and the game still crashes after starting it over and over again I even tried turning the mods off and then turning them on once I was in the game and it still crashed immediately. Is there a way you guys can fix this? I think I’m not the only one with the problem.

I don’t even think these support forums are active. My request has gone wholly ignored for days, while it’s beyond game-breaking.

Going to GitHub is probably a better bet by now.

Yeah I would say that there’s a good chance that they aren’t going to answer at least not for a while. But I will hold out hope that they will at some point come back and respond and maybe actually fix the problem. I mean I’ve played the game normally plenty of times and I got the Platinum trophy on my PS5 for it already. But I figured it would be fun to play with mods finally since I just got my first PC. I figured it would be super cool to play with mods for the first time with Resident Evil 4 remake. I know that you’re probably right but who knows, maybe the people who are in charge of this mod will come back hopefully sooner rather than later. I would like the issue fixed because my game just absolutely crashes

Good evening, I was wondering if you have any update on any of the bug fixes for the mods for Resident Evil 4 remake. I just thought I would ask since it’s been a couple days, I know I’m not the only one with the constant game crashes problem. Doesn’t seem to matter what any of us do or how many ways we try to open the game Or change settings, the game always seems to just crash.

Nothing is still working, and I’ve tried absolutely everything i’ve done the whole anti cheat thing and I’ve tried doing GitHub although I don’t quite understand that. I’ve tried to do troubleshooting with the whole troubleshooting part of this app and nothing is able to be figured out. Is there any way you guys have a way of fixing this on your side? Without the game crashing every time it opens right away?

Same problem as everyone else. As soon as I enable wemod, the game crash/close.
