Windows (or other antiviruses) sometimes doesn’t give you a chance to download it while they’re active. That’s why it needs to be temporarily disabled, and then you can download the bypass, add it to the exclusion list, and re-enable it
Ok so I had some issues running the mod even with the bypass but I managed to figure out how to get it running.
Download the dinpute8.dll mod and extract it
Go to steam library and locate the RE4 Remake game.
Right-click the game and a pop-up window will open up. Drag your mouse to “Manage” then drag it to “Browse local files”. Click it.
Your game’s directory window will open up. Now open the folder of the dinput8.dll and COPY THE FILE into the game’s directory folder. See the image for details, I circled the file with red.
Run the game normally on steam. Once you’re in the main menu, open up WeMod and press “Play”.
You should be able to run the program and game without crashing. If you are crashing then more than likely you copied the folder of the bypass into the game directory instead of just the file. I did the same thing and that was the reason why my game keeps crashing when I launch the mods.
Hope this helps and please give feedback if I did or say anything wrong, we’re here to help each other out not berate each other.
I did everything as FLiNG and you instructed but I am getting fatal D3D error 25. The game runs fine without the bypass download and the trainer, but when I use the trainer and follow these steps, I get the pop error.
