Sid Meier's Civilization VII Cheats and Trainer for Steam

Were you able to prevent from unit ghosting ?

It keeps crashing, and opens up the browser with “Code of conduct.”
Hopefully, there is a quick fix.

The fix is to run steam in offline mode to edit say gold and influence. As for Ghost Units I think it is due to the games anti cheat features involving unit tampering. (tested on Vulkan)

My advice for using this is to run steam in offline mode, load into a game (or start a new one) get to the map screen. Load up WeMod Trainer (it will take some time) Edit your gold and Culture points (do not worry about the other trainer options at the moment) End 1 turn, Save game and close WeMod. Load up last save, then play as normal.

You should still have the edited gold and culture points.

Yea… running steam in offline mode does not prevent the 2K-Crash.
Been trying different methods all day. I can open the game & Wemod, hurry to put the gold increase in and quick save before the crash… but the crash so far has been inevitable.

You can try logging out of your 2K account in the bottom left corner of the main menu after entering the game, and then launching Wemod again, this method can alleviate the 2K crashing issue to some extent.

yeah that works however Units still go invisible unfortunately

I was so upset that my game suddenly wouldn’t run and I got kicked to my browser, I returned the game and got a refund. Some chick had nerve to tell me I had to uninstall WeMod, and I told her to go jump in the lake. I pay for this, and Civ VII isn’t the only game I play using WeMod. It wasn’t even running, so how dare they peek at my configuration and then tell me it’s a bug or something. Nope. Not playing their game. I paid too much for it, and they don’t own my equipment or software.

Oh I fully agree they have no right to tell you how to play singleplayer, multiplayer id 100% agree with them but if your playing on your own and only against bots what right do they think they have to tell you “NO”

On the subject of units, I’ve triggered the bug under the same conditions without wemod open, but cheating triggers it 100%. I suspect it’s a civ issue and cheating enhances this bug

I had that issue while playing myself. I have a 3090 and on high graphics my units disappeared. if I dropped it to mid graphics everything rendered fine. but after the fair play notice while playing single player I refunded my founder pack. I will wait for the game to actually be playable.

Here a Screenshot before wemod ever had a cheat up. This was day 2 of Early Released.

What worked for me. Make sure wemod is not running in the background. Open the game , the load your save. Then open wemod. While in my single player game its not booting me out. Steam still online also

had an issue with the movement would not show. changed settings to mid like someone suggested. Seemed to fix that also.

Im only using fast construction, instant research

*********after a couple of turns, lost the move animation again.

I have the unit not moving issue also, I think this is a patch gone wrong not a wemod trainer issue cause I’m seeing forums with that issue popping up everywhere. I also started the game offline which worked with that hyper sensitive dumb af anti-cheat software. I was able to do everything on the mod list minus the unlimited movement and attack (Which was likely due to the game patch mentioned previously).

Actually I can use your mod without any issue (so far). I put Steam offline, started the game and disabled “crossplay” in settings. Then started Wemod. Maybe this was all about?? :person_shrugging:

disable crossplay! interesting

I never play multiplayer for Civ, it’s just not my thing. If we want to mod or “cheat” in singleplayer we should be able to do whatever we want. Civ and Firaxis have always been very friendly to modders, and they said in development Civ 7 would be no different, this “code of conduct” block" makes zero sense. Hope they fix it soon.

I guess the whole logic behind enabling anti-cheat in single player mode is their dumbass idea of the leveling system.

So it’s like “OK, we have leveling system even in single player mode, so we can’t let players cheat in single players mode to levelup quickly.”

Meh.

I’ve noticed a lot of posts about being kicked to the 2K Fair Play page whilst using WeMod. This isn’t just when using WeMod, it has been happening to me since I started playing on the 6th (I got the Founders Edition) when WeMod didn’t have mods for it. Not sure what caused it, seems to be better for me now I messed about with the rendering settings. Might be a game bug / graphics driver issue.

When following the mod’s instructions—launching the game, ending a turn, then opening WeMod and activating the mod—all effects work as intended. However, if WeMod is opened before getting in-game and completing a turn, it causes a disconnect.

The graphical issue with units is still present. I’ve tried adjusting in-game settings and enabling mod effects one at a time, but the issue persists. Hopefully, the mod creators can find a workaround.

You don’t need to have mods for the game. Just having wemod open is enough for the game to close. The game checks your pc to see if you have such a program open, and close immediately, even if nothing is activated.
